    This Privacy Policy explains how GroundShapers.com ("GroundShapers.com," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit GroundShapers.com (the "Site"), submit a project assessment, or apply to join the independent installer network. GroundShapers operates an online platform that connects property owners with independent installers — GroundShapers does not perform construction work.

    1. Information we collect

    • Information you give us: name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, mailing address, project type, timeline, budget range, photos you upload, and any free-text notes.
    • Information collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and similar log data. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for traffic measurement when you accept analytics cookies.
    • Cookies and similar technologies: essential cookies (required for the Site to function) and optional analytics cookies. You can manage your choice through the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

    2. How we use information

    • Match your project request with an independent installer in our network.
    • Communicate with you about your request by email, phone, SMS, or mail.
    • Operate, secure, and improve the Site and our services.
    • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

    3. How we share information

    We share information only as needed to operate the platform:

    • Independent installers matched to your project (so they can contact you and provide a bid).
    • Service providers that host the Site, send transactional email, store files, or provide analytics — under contracts that restrict their use of your information.
    • Referral partners when you reach the Site through a partner link, limited to attribution data.
    • Legal disclosures when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
    • Business transfers in connection with a merger, financing, or acquisition.

    We do not sell your personal information for money. Some analytics cookies may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out by selecting "Reject optional" in the cookie banner or by enabling your browser's Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.

    4. SMS and call consent (TCPA)

    When you submit a form that includes your phone number, you agree GroundShapers and the matched independent installer may contact you by phone (including autodialed or pre-recorded calls and SMS), email, or text about your project. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to a text message to opt out, or contact us at info@groundshapers.com.

    5. Your privacy rights

    Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to: access, correct, or delete your personal information; opt out of "sale" or "sharing"; and appeal a denial. To exercise a right, email privacy@groundshapers.com from the address on file or call 888-995-0622. We will verify your identity before responding.

    6. Data retention

    We retain project requests and account records for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations, then delete or de-identify the data.

    7. Security

    We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, but no system is perfectly secure. Submit information at your own risk.

    8. Children

    The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

    9. Changes to this Policy

    We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, when changes are material, provide a more prominent notice.
